French Disconnection

The current unemployment rate in France is 9.7% yet the government is insisting on raising the retirement age by two years. This means that the older folk currently employed will be dragooned into working an extra two years whereas the unemployed will continue to languish another two years, all the while draw social security benefits. This is nuts.
